As we get older, our brain health is just as important as our physical health, and here at Whole Brain Health Initiative, we believe that memory games are an excellent way to exercise the mind. 

Our Virtual Brain Fitness Class focuses on helping older adults improve their mental capabilities, boost memory, reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and Dementia in a fun and supportive group environment. Our classes utilize puzzles, brain games, brain exercise, brain facts, problem-solving activities, and dancing to improve short-term and long-term memory.

There are hundreds of memory games online that people can partake in, but our expert instructors Charles Hall and Janani Dhinakaran Ph.D. believe in the power of adding the interactive element. Both instructors have been leading the program for years and have created an environment where people feel safe, present information that is easy to follow, and engage with participants throughout the class. 

Previously, we conducted our classes in person, but due to the Covid19 pandemic, we have decided to continue our classes virtually utilizing ZOOM allowing participants to join from any location. 

The goals are for each participant to:

  • Adopts healthier habits for their brain
  • Experiences noticeable health benefits
  • Connect with members of the community 
  • Have fun

As a non-profit organization, our goal is to make classes accessible to anyone but to continue our programs, we need your help and ask for a small $5 donation for each class. 

Our classes are designed for seniors, but anyone is welcome to join!
