DANCE TO REMEMBER CHALLENGE


January 1 - February 28 2017

This campaign will be a blast! It can be done anywhere, anytime as long as you have internet connection. Here's how it works...

Record a video of the following:

1. Mention your GOFI (Greatest Opportunity For Improvement) pertaining to your brain health (ie sleep more, reduce stress, exercise more, etc)

2. Do a memorable dance move

3. Donate and challenge others! Recommend at least $10 and at least 3 others to participate

Videos should be less than 60 seconds


Post the video to the Whole Brain Health Initiative’s Facebook page, your own Facebook timeline, and any other Facebook page you'd like. Hashtag “Dance To Remember” and tag the other people you are challenging.

$100 prize to the person with the best dance moves (as defined by the most amount of likes on the Whole Brain Health Initiative's Facebook page). So post early and encourage others to like it!

We have 3 tiers of goals and what the money would go to:

 

1. $2100 - With this money we can start up a new year long brain

health coaching program at a low income senior community. This

includes a community-wide Dance To Remember event as well as bimonthly

'Brain Club' group coaching sessions.

 

2. $10,000 - With this amount we can host brain health programs at 5

new low income senior communities. We can also have a

Neuropsychologist do assessments to clinically validate the programs.

 

3. $25,000 - With this amount we can host brain health programs at 8

new low income senior communities, get a Neuropsychologist to assess

the programs, create a life sized and life textured brain model of a

healthy and Alzheimer's brain (this would be powerful education tool

and could be used as a base to make many more for other brain health

communities), and bring in administrative support to allow us to

expand our programs to many other communities that would benefit.

Furthermore, we can design an online application to where people can

take an assessment and get visual representation of how optimized

their lifestyle is for their brain.

You’ll have fun sharing your own ‘memorable’ dance moves and watching your friends and family do same.

 


The money raised will allow our non-profit organization to provide more in-house brain health programs to low income senior communities. The programs are very effective ways to help seniors adopt the lifestyle habits that will help them to preserve their memory. The programs are also scalable, hence the more money brought in, the more tangible impact there will be on our society. Donated money will not get “lost in the research."

You will help to promote a vital message at the right time. INVESTING IN YOUR HEALTH MUST BE AS FUN AS POSSIBLE! This concept is particularly important for everyone to be mindful of as they plan for their New Year’s Resolutions. Making healthy lifestyle habits such as exercise ‘intrinsically motivating’ or fun/enjoyable is the best way to create lasting healthy habits.
